Obituary for Ann Dawson Rodgers

Frankfort – Ann Dawson Rodgers, age 85, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Services for Mrs. Rodgers will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, December 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Todd Lester and Rev. Steve Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford County. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
A native of Franklin County, Ann was born October 25, 1933. She retired from the Division of Physical Plant Department of Facilities Management of Finance Cabinet. Ann was a member of the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Rodgers; niece, Barbara Hockensmith; cousins, James M. Clark, Billy Wright, and Joan Dunn. Ann was the daughter of the late Curtley and Grace Wright Dawson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Norman Keith Rodgers, half-brother, AC Dawson, and half-sister, Opal Dawson Wilhoite.
Pallbearers will be Danny Franklin, Tommy Goins, Scotty Bryan, Ron Herron, Mike Duvall, and Kevin Lee.
Flowers are welcome or expressions of sympathy may be made to the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church Building Fund, 495 Duckers Road, Midway, Kentucky 40347.
