Annie Banta

Mrs. Banta was born in Frankfort on August 25, 1925 to the late James Forrest and Annie Hill Cusick. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Vachel G. Banta, Jr. She is survived by her four sons, Vachel G. Banta III (Karen), Forrest Banta (Connie), Tom Banta (Drema) and Bob Banta (Carlene Miller); her nine grandchildren, Brichelle Banta, Tim Banta, Todd Banta, Terri Campbell, Candi Arnold, Julie Gosney, Mark Banta, Joe Banta and Jake Banta; 19 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Mrs. Banta was a life member and past Commander of both the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 7 American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4075. She retired from Kentucky State Police after over 40 years of service. She was affectionately known as "Mamaw."
