Arnold Napier

Frankfort – Arnold Napier, 72, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, in Lexington. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Everett Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
Born March 19, 1946, in Hazard, Kentucky, Mr. Napier retired as a self-employed contractor. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering at God’s Food Pantry and attending classic car shows with his friends. Mr. Napier loved to be with his family and friends, and loved his daughters’ fur babies.
He is survived by his daughters, Melinda Napier and Becky Napier Moore (Mike); siblings, Ruby Eversole (Claude), Elizabeth Wilson, Phronia Godsey, and Robert Napier; grandchildren, Ashley Gilbert, Jennifer Buntain, Chris Napier, and Tiffany Jennings; and great-grandchild, Easton Buntain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Napier and Corabelle Campbell Napier; wife, Martha Jane Engle Napier; daughter, Angela Napier Jennings; grandson, Travis Jennings, and by seven siblings.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Claude Eversole, Ralph Eversole, Steve Moore, Nathan Eversole, and John Jennings. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
