Obituary for Barbara Henley
Frankfort - Barbara Ann Broders Henley, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. A gathering of friends and family will take place at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Henley was born in Whittier, California to the late Emil Herman and Blanche Lucille Bailey Broders. She was retired from Kentucky State Government and a member of First Church of Christ Scientist of Frankfort and of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She often enjoyed bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory J. Henley.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas T. (Sherri) Henley and Michael B. Henley (Debra), of Frankfort and Jeffrey P. Henley(Valentyna); her brother, Roger (Janet) Broders, of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois; and by her grandchildren, Theron (Jennifer), Trevor, Erin (Brendan), Wendi, Amy, Michelle, and Neil. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Masonic Home of Kentucky, Giving Tree, in memory of Ms. Henley, 3761 Johnson Hall Drive, Masonic Home, KY 40041.
Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
