Barbara Wheatley

Frankfort – Barbara Ann Nichols Wheatley, age 83, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019, in Ocala, Florida. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jay Stratton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
Mrs. Wheatley was born in Grassy Springs, Kentucky on June 12, 1935, to the late Jessie Milton and Lillie B. Morrow Nichols. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Coleman Wheatley of Frankfort. She retired from the Kentucky State Government.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Sheree Brantley, Ken Wheatley, Jr. (Faithe), and John Wheatley (Heidi); grandchildren, Beau Brantley, Jaime Lynn, Bayle McKinney (Chris), Alex Wheatley, Jasmin Wheatley, Alora Wheatley, Makayla Riggs, and Austin Riggs; great-grandson, Braxton McKinney, and by special aunt, Louise Turner. She was also blessed with two beloved dogs, Izzy and Ginger.
Serving as pallbearers will be Beau Brantley, Chris McKinney, Eddie Turner, Alex Wheatley, Shannon Riddle, and Mike Weems.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to L.I.F.E. House for Animals.
