Charles Franklin Cummins, Sr. husband of Betty Cummins, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. A native of Frankfort, he was born on October 17, 1936 to the late Samuel Thomas and Cora Lee Toles Cummins. Mr. Cummins was an equipment operator for Arts Electric for 17 years and a member and Board Member of New Life Church. He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan. Most of all, he was a hard worker and loved helping people. In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by his children, Charles Franklin (Stella) Cummins, Jr., Frankfort, Teresa Gail Schell, Frankfort, Darla Carol (Daniel) Hoagland, Frankfort, Michael Wayne (Renee) Cummins, Lawrenceburg, Twanna Ann (Paul) Rodgers, Frankfort, and Brian Franklin (Katrina) Cummins, Lawrenceburg; step-sons, James Ray (Jennifer) Cox, Frankfort and Terry Lee (Melissa) Cox, Lawrenceburg; sister, Martha West, Frankfort; brothers, Regis Cummins, CA and Everett (Ann) Cummins, Frankfort; 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cummins was preceded in death by his step-son, Jayson Troy Cox and 10 siblings. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road with Brother Gene Roberts and Brother Jimmy Patillo officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be John Scott Cummins, Shane McClease, Dustin Rodgers, Jordon Cummins, Austin Gatewood and Jonathan Samuel Cummins. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
