Dorothy Jean Lewis, Frankfort, passed peacefully on February 10, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born on April 23, 1925 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruby Cornwell York, her sister Geraldine York Young (Reece), husbands James Marshall and Chester Lewis and ex-husband, Wendell Meece.
She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Meece Robinson (Harold), step-daughter Judy Marshall Gentry (Ray), Fairfield, Ohio, step-son David Allen Marshall (Linda), Tallahassee, Florida, grandchildren Julie Robinson Kropf (Brent), Melissa Robinson Lawson (Michael), both of Frankfort, Kentucky, Heather Marshall Agrillo (Eric), Tallahassee, Florida, James Marshall Gentry, New York, New York, Amy Gentry Graber-Pels (Greg) Goshen, Ohio, Tiffany Gentry Cornett (Jeremy), Lexington, Kentucky, Anthony Gentry, Florida. Great Grandchildren, Alex and Alison Kropf, Caroline and Brandi Lawson, Julie Wake, Alexa Graber-Pels, and Karissa and Colson Cornett, nephews, Tom Young (Jenny) and Marty Young (Gerri), both of Frankfort.
She was a graduate of Frankfort High School, class of 1943. She was retired from State Government, having worked for 30 years in Economic Security Division of Wage Records. She was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church and attended Young at Heart meetings for several years. She enjoyed cross-stitching, camping, reading and talking about her grandchildren.
