Walker Elmo Perkins, age 91, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born in Stamping Ground on June 7, 1927, to the late Walker Perkins and Almedia Hockensmith (L.B.). He retired after 46 years from Fruit of the Loom in Frankfort. He was also a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. His life was characterized by his love of his family.
Elmo is survived by two daughters, Linda Wainscott and Debbie Perry (Billy); five grandchildren, Tina Stephens (Anthony), Lisa Wainscott (Shane), Michelle Solis, Tanya Lawrence (Ron), Lori Good (Max); and ten great grandchildren, Cory Anderson, Lindsey Stephens, Logan Stephens, Dylan Stephens, Madison Guy, Justen Perry, Jayson Lawrence, Savannah Good, Camden Good and Colton Good.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth and daughter Cheryl Kay; one brother, Raymond Perkins; three sisters, Rosena Perry, Marie McPherron and Betty Hinkle.
