Frankfort - Gardenia Clark Pulliam, age 83, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Morning Pointe. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
Mrs. Pulliam was born in Frankfort on June 27, 1935, to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Harp Clark. After serving 31 years with Kentucky State Government, she retired from Department of Workforce. She was a lifelong member of Buck Run Baptist Church, charter member of Ridgeview Homemakers, member of the Red Hat Society, and a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed collecting dolls, boating, cake decorating, being a cheerleader sponsor, and especially enjoyed traveling with her sisters. A woman with a great sense of humor, Mrs. Pulliam loved her friends at Morning Pointe, as much as they loved and enjoyed her.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Connie Boleyn (Greg); siblings, Mary Ruth Cinnamon (Gene); Darrell Clark (Janice), Shirley Tyre (Don) and David Clark (Beth); brother-in-law, Bob Stone; grandchildren, Jared Boleyn and Erica Boleyn, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James “Jimmy” Samuel Pulliam; daughters, Debra Lee Pulliam and Donna Lynn Pulliam; and siblings, Peggy Adams and Dottie Stone.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Cinnamon, Tim Clark, Richie Tyre, Clark Stone, Richard Clark, and Chad Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Adams, Jeff Adams, Steve Adams, Kim Hall, Julie Milburn, Libby Tyre, Karen Sutherland, Kristie Washington, and Katie Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
