Jimmie Green

Jimmie Dale Green, age 62, passed away in Frankfort on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 with Rev. William Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Green was born in Frankfort on March 26, 1954 to the late Edward Green, Sr. and Frances Wright Green Eldridge. He was united in marriage for 33 years to Brenda Sue Smith Green, of Frankfort. He loved fishing, gardening, watching movies, talking on the CB Radio and his family. He was a true believer in God.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Edward Green, Jr., Barbara A. Green and Dora A. Kelly.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Angel Mae Green, Jimmie Dale Green, Jr., Larry Smith, and Allen Smith; his grandsons, Matthew Smith and Jamie Baxter; and by his siblings, Mae B. Lewis and Dudley (Dawn) Green.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmie Green, Jr., Larry Smith, Dudley Green, Timothy Lee Green, Andrew Baker, and Scotty Smither. Honorary pallbearer will be Angel Mae Green.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Bluegrass (now known as Bluegrass Care Navigators) 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601 and/or ACCESS Soup Kitchen and Men's Shelter, 311 W 2nd Street, Frankfort, KY 40601
