Funeral services for JoAnn Sharp, 81, of Frankfort will be held Monday 1:30 p.m. at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Tim Jump and Bro. Frank Lane will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday 11a.m. until service time.
JoAnn was a lifelong resident of Franklin county and retired from Kentucky State Government. She was a member of Versailles Church of God and enjoyed sewing, crafting, camping and spending time with her family.
JoAnn was a daughter of Ida Mae Payton and Raymond L. Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Sharp and sister, Edith Johnson.
Survivors include her daughters, Bobbie Jo Metts Warner (Harold) and Jackie Metts Whitis; stepchildren, Rhonda Donohoe, Kim Waford and Ronald Sharp Jr.; sister, Ruth Long; brother, Raymond Scott Mitchell(Jill); grandchildren, Devon Twyford (Mickey), Jason Amburgey (Leslie), Matthew Amburgey (Alex), Mark Amburgey, Tyler Vogler (Rebekah), Chey Ann Warner, Sierra Warner and Sarah Whitis; great-grandchildren, Jaidan Amburgey, Cameron Amburgey, Camden Breeze, Kellen Amburgey, Virgil Vogler and Kingston Amburgey; a special friend Lora Smith whom she thought of as a daughter.
Pallbearers will be Jason Amburgey, Matthew Amburgey, Mark Amburgey, Tyler Vogler, Mickey Twyford, Adam Waford, and Steve Amburgey.
