Josephine “Jo” Lewis Bryant, 89, widow of Clyde Bryant, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Baptist Health Lexington. Jo was born August 29, 1930 in Versailles, Kentucky. Jo was the daughter of the late Ed and Agnes Smith Lewis and a member of Versailles Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Texas Instruments and retiree from Kuhlman Electric. The most precious thing to her was her family, she loved spending time and taking care of them. She enjoyed her neighbors, working in her flowers, and yard work. Jo was a member of Bourbon County CB Radio, and Versailles Baptist Ladies Circle.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her son, Larry Bryant, Georgetown, daughter, Lisa Slatten (Anthony), Versailles, brother, William Lewis (Zannie), Versailles, four grandchildren, Stacy Kraemer (Todd), Lexington, Jeffrey Bryant, Lexington, Corey Harlow (Katylen), Versailles, Anthony Slatten (Gyanna), Ratcliff, twelve great grandchildren, Kaylee Harlow, Paisleigh Harlow, Jasper Bryant, Jaxson Bryant, Mason Kraemer, Felicity Bryant, Brayden Kraemer, Landen Kraemer, Gracie Smith, Landon Smith, Britain Howard, Brody Howard, and special friends, Paul and Betty Smith, Lexington, and several other family members.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jo was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lillie Mae Finley, Dorothy Story, and brother, Doug Lewis.
Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home has been entrusted with the service arrangements for Jo. A private Funeral Service will be held at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Tuesday, June 16, 2020, with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Corey Harlow, Anthony Slatten II, Jeffrey Bryant, Anthony Slatten, Todd Kraemer, and Mason Kraemer. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
