Linda Louise Brown Popp, 75, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021. The widow of William Heath Popp, Linda was born September 12, 1945 to the late Marion Roy and Louise Coy Brown in Lexington, Kentucky. An active member of Forks of Elkorn Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky, Linda enjoyed not only attending services, but participating in events and just being at church. In addition to spending time with her church family, Linda enjoyed being with her own, watching her great grandchildren play basketball, or talking to her granddaughters about the latest Hallmark movie she had watched. Crafting was also a favorite pastime. In the years before the passing of her husband, William, the two of them would spend quite a lot of time together in the outdoors, camping and exploring.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Darrell) Hall of Frankfort and Kimme (Jack) Fansler of Harrodsburg; a brother, Logan (Betty) Brown of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Heather (Michael) Wells, Kelley Meeks, Brittany (Hawk) Mangan, Haley (Eric Mattingly) Sebree, Kyler Sebree, Ashley (Jason) DiNardo, and Matthew Fansler; and great grandchildren, Alison, Audrey, Moe, Molly, Hudson, Declan, Zaden, Jaelyn, and Roma.
In addition to her husband, William Heath Popp and parents, Marion Roy and Louise Coy Brown, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, JoAnn Walters, Olive Marie Cox, Marian Jean Becknell, and Laura Jane Akins; and a brother, Marion Roy Brown, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00a, Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Wells, Hawk Mangan, Kyler Sebree, Eric Mattingly, Jeremiah Pardi, and Logan Brown. Darrell Hall and Jack Fansler will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00p until 8:00p on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.
