Marcel Herron

Marcel Danette Herron, 55, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. She was born in Danville on July 31, 1963 to Myrna Cooper Herron and the late Kenneth M. Herron. She worked as a Citizens Assistance Specialist to the Ombudsman's Office. Marcel was a member of St John’s A.M.E. Church and a member of Mizpah Chapter # 16 P.H.A.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Michael) Gerton, Lexington; her son, Quintin Raglin, Frankfort; her sisters, Michele Carter, Frankfort, and Monica Webb, Frankfort; her grandchildren, Kenneth and Kristian Gerton; her companion, Larry Raglin, Frankfort; nieces, Ivory Heron and Dalessa Webb; and her nephews, Jordan Samuels and Kenneth Samuels.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St John A.M.E. Church on Clinton St. Pastor Jermaine Wilson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Eastern Star Mizpah service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St John A.M.E. Church on Clinton St. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until the time of service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman.
