Mary Dotson Hamm, 99, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was a native of Frankfort, Kentucky.
She was the owner/manager of Dotson Concrete Company, Inc. She was a member of the Shelbyville First Presbyterian Church, a longtime member of the Clayvillage Homemakers Club, member of the Louisville China Painters Guild, and a member of the Eastern Star Hiram Chapter #93 in Frankfort. She loved cooking for family, enjoyed oil painting, was an experienced seamstress, and did a lot of canning and freezing corn.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.W. Dotson, and Dr. Robert Hamm; her son, James Beverly Dotson; and grandson, James Austin Dotson.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Dotson of Shelbyville.
Funeral services will 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Shannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Hodge officiating. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort.
