Mary Chapman Jett, 90 died peacefully on February 1, 2017 at Frankfort Medical Center after a brief illness. Mary was born in McMinville, Tennessee on May 10, 1926, the daughter of Laura and T.A. Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Jett. Mary is survived by her son, Barry Jett, Lexington and her daughter Brenda (Larry) Roberts, Frankfort; three grandchildren, Brandon Jett, Lexington, Laura Fallis and Reed Roberts, Frankfort and two great grandchildren, Hudson and Hayden Fallis.
She worked for over 30 years at Taylor Drug/Rite-Aid until she retired at the age of 80. She was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Bible study for adult women for many years. Although Mary enjoyed traveling, seeing the world on multiple trips with Shocky Tours, she truly loved caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm on Monday, February 6 at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home and the Funeral will be on Tuesday at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crestwood Baptist Church, Frankfort.
