Mary May

Frankfort - Mary Betty Wright May, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Services for Mrs. May will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. David Smith officaitng. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017.

Mrs. May was born in Corinth, Kentucky on March 17, 1944 to the late Taylor and Irene Isabelle Cook Wright. She was united in marriage to her husband of 54 years, Floyd Coleman May, of Frankfort. She was a homemaker and a past member of Lion's Club and Southern Nights Club. She loved to play Bingo. Above all, she loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Mark Coleman May; by her siblings, Donald Wright and Barbara Hockensmith.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Floyd May, Jr. and wife Renee and Michele Grimes and husband Greg; her siblings, Lewis Wright, Fannie Cummins, Bea Newton and Joan Kivior. She was also blessed with her loving 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and one baby girl, Mia, on the way.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Grimes, Gregory Grimes, Tyler Grimes, Jonathan Grimes, Timmy Hockensmith and Bill May, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be J.P. Hyman and Dawson Grimes.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
