Morgan Hensley, 75, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018. Married to his loving wife of almost 50 years, Beatrice Willhoit Hensley, Morgan was born March 12, 1943 to the late Burey and Martha Sallee Hensley in Breathitt County, KY. A member of Bethesda Temple Church of the Living God, Morgan severed his Lord, extending His teachings and good will to others through his work ethic. Devoted employee of Harrod Concrete, Morgan worked as a driller, truck driver, and jack of all trades. Once retired from the quarry, Morgan took it upon himself to help the widows in his community by mowing their lawns. Working 7 days a week, he grew the most beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, raised bees, and enjoyed the opportunity to hunt rabbits and squirrels. Morgan was famous for showing up with an amber jar of fresh honey, comb included, and a smile.
In addition to his wife, Beatrice, he is survived by his step children, Barbara (Francis) Hockensmith, Frankfort, Ralph W. Payne, Frankfort, and Jackie G. (Alice) Payne, Frankfort; sister, Bonnie (Allen) Fox, VA; brothers, Lewis R. Hensley, Frankfort, Willie (Kathy) Hensley, Frankfort, Earnest Hensley, Frankfort, and Howard Hensley, Frankfort; grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Rebecca, Chad, and Brad; great grandchildren, Franchesca, Caleb, Nate, Luke, and 2 additional; and a great great grandchild, Malachi.
