Raymond Polly

Frankfort – Raymond “Ray” Albert Polly, age 81, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019, with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Mr. Polly was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, on May 24, 1937, to the late Theodore and Ruth Conley Polly. He was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn Robinson Polly, of Frankfort. Together, they enjoyed attending Buck Run Baptist Church. He retired from Bendix Corporation.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jill Polly Kittinger (Bryan) and Don Scott Polly (Pam), sisters, Glenda Polly Cole, Gladys Hockensmith, Barbara Renkey, and Faye Hall; grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, and Jacob Kittinger, Nathan and Derek Polly; and great-grandchildren, Madeline, Zeke, Cliff, Max, and Mollie Kittinger. He was also blessed with several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Polly.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Kittinger, Zachary Kittinger, Jacob Kittinger, David Dawson, James Lewis, and Bobby Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike York, Floyd Seals, and Mark Polly.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
