Rosalia Florence Stratton Bowman Wilmot, 84, wife of Ray Wilmot, departed this life on July 19, 2020.She was born in Anderson County on May 4, 1936 to the late James A.D. and Sallie Puckett Stratton. Rosalia was a woman of faith and longtime member of Versailles Church of God, and a former assembly line worker at Texas Instruments.
In addition to her parents Rosalia was preceded in death by her first husband, Kelly Kenneth Bowman, sisters, Marjorie Cheak, Pearl Briggs, Hazel Stratton, brothers, Edward Stratton, Gilbert Stratton, Austin Stratton, Billy Stratton, Dan Stratton, and a great grandson, John Dale Penn.
Rosalia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Ray Wilmot, Versailles, children, Kelly G. (Veronica) Bowman, Rosmarie (John) Hedden, Tammy (Larry) Dial, grandchildren, Patrick (Kipp) Bowman, April (Steve) Jutz, Samantha (Dale) Penn, Nathan (Jackie) Bowman, Kenneth (Brittany) Dial, Christy Dial, great grandchildren, Stazi Hume, Trinity Hume, Alijah Hume, Brayden Tingle, Cekiera Nation, Aiden Penn, Madison Bowman, Barrett Bowman, Skylyn Dial, Hudson Dial, Kiara Hill, and Keagan Hill, and great great grandchildren, Lila Hume, and Bowman Hume.
On Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home Rosalia’s family will receive guest from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm. Those attending the visitation should plan to follow social distancing guidelines and face coverings are required. A private Funeral Service will held. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Patrick Bowman, Jared Bowman, Nathan Bowman, Kenneth Dial, Steve Jutz, and Dale Penn. Honorary pallbearers are Stazia Hume, Trinity Hume, And Joe Yates. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Versailles Church of God, or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
