Sylvia G. Smith, 81, a former Texas Instrument employee, widow of Robert Stanley Smith, died Wednesday, January 25 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born in Versailles, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Patrick and Mattie Bell Carpenter McWilliams. She is survived by two daughters, Nona Perez (Antonio), of Versailles, Bobbi Faye Highland (Duke), of Lexington, one son, Michael Anthony Smith, of Versailles, one brother, Albert "Happy" McWilliams, six grandchildren, Steven Foster, Lorrie Wade, Shane Smith, Hope Arteaga, Justin Montgomery, and Kristen, And three great grandchildren, Kayla Martin, Nicholas Martin, and A.J. Arteaga. Graveside services are 2:30 pm, Monday, January 30 at Sunset Memorial Garden Chapel with Rev. Robbie Phillips officiating. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
