William "Billy" Wright

William Thomas Wright (Billy), 77, married to Wanda McDonald Wright for 59 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his home in Midway. Born on June 5, 1943 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Jack and Lillie Mae Wright. He attended Versailles High School in Versailles and was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Billy worked for Bluegrass Stockyard for 35 years and was a farmer for all of his life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 2 children, Wayne and Tracie Wright, Versailles; and David and Tai Wright, Colorado; his sister, Kathy (Albert), S.C.; brother, Larry (Donna) Wright, KY; his 3 grandchildren, Brittany Wright, Kameron Wright, and Alassa Wright.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Private graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd is in charge of arrangements.
